Well, it may come as a surprise, but we?re on the move. Tara and I are moving to Durham, North Carolina in August.

I have accepted a very attractive offer from Skanska USA Building, Inc. Skanska is an enormous construction firm (#6 in Volume on the ENR 400). I will be a Senior Estimator with them, located out of their Southeast Region HQ.

We are very excited, as the career opportunity is incredible, and location is great!

Tara has begun making plans for her new job search, even though she dreads taking her 3rd Bar Exam. (I say it will be no problem, and she should go ahead and take the Virginia Bar while she is at it too.) We are lucky the NC capitol is in Raleigh. There is plenty of need for attorneys there, as we hear.

We've hired an agressive realtor to Sell-Our-House. While Skanska is paying for our relocation & temporary housing, we need to get rid of the Toledo as quickly as possible.

Needless to say, we are both excited and sad to go. We will be farther away from family and friends than ever before, and we are leaving behind many great Toledo memories. But it will be for the best: No more 2 hour commutes; No more snow; Lots less out-of-town travel.

What sucks is that I'm leaving the best casual magic group I've ever played with. Abe's Group is awesome, and I'll miss Friday nights immensely. Do you know how hard it is to find a 250 group as friendly & dedicated as the group we have right now?

    Very.

Even though my time with you has been short I'll miss you all greatly.

Regardless, we think NC will be a great! Wish us luck!

Good luck! It will be sad to see one of the most easy going and talented members of our group go, but it was great fun for the time spent.

Too bad I didn't get the urge to get back inot 40k earlier, I've missed the game for nearly 10 years and finally have the means to start playing again. Ah well.

Lastly good luck in your search for fellow geeks, the good ones are hard to find!

[EDIT] Be sure to keep us informed here on these message boards! And I'm sure no one will mind if you invite other Magic players/games to them in your new homeland!

Thanks. I'll miss you all too.
At least I still have until the end of the month to keep playing with you all.
